Student Credit Unions
Team One currently serves over 800 students at area schools
through our Student Credit Union program. The goal of each
Student Credit Union is to help kids of all ages learn how
to reach their financial goals, whatever they may be. Students
are encouraged to develop strong savings habits as well
as learn how good and bad credit choices affect their financial
goals.
One day per week at each participating school, the Student
Credit Union is open for business. It is supervised by a
credit union representative and run by student volunteers.
The students that volunteer as Student Credit Union staff
gain hands-on experience through opening accounts, handling
money and marketing the credit union to other students.
Students that join the Student Credit Union learn the importance
of saving in a fun and interactive way!
The Student Credit Union offers:
- Financial Education
- Volunteer Opportunities
- Prize Incentives
- Savings Accounts
- Checking Accounts
- ATM Card
- Check Card
